Remove Stumbling Block

There are certain doctrines that can result in people stumbling in their faith. The God kind of faith is the faith I mean.

A false prophet, Balaam, tried to cause Israel to stumble by teaching Balac to cause them to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols (Rev 2:14).

Is it right for Christians to eat the sacrificed bull (Kurbani) that their Muslim friends offer them? The sacrifice is to commemorate the offering Ibrahim (Abraham) made of his son Ismael (Ishmael) (according to Muslim traditions).

On the surface it looks harmless, and Christians may think that it is not a serious matter. The truth is that the things that the Gentiles (who don't serve the Lord Jesus) offer in sacrifice are not really offered to God but to devils (1 Cor 10:20 KJV) . Muslims may claim that they do not serve idols but one god. They even claim that their god is the same God who the Christians serve. They fail to accept the deity of Jesus Christ. To reject the deity of Jesus Christ is to reject the true God. Therefore, the god of the Muslims is not God Almighty.

The word of God is saying that eating such food is equivalent to making friends with devils. God clearly does not permit that for His children. True friendship with God demands refusing the sacrificed meats of Muslims and other Gentiles. To do otherwise is to invite chastening from the Lord.

Muslims are now warned not to give their sacrificed meats to true believers in Jesus Christ to cause them to stumble. Don't add more sins to your accounts by putting a stumbling block in the path of the children of God. Their God is a jealous God. He does not delight in offerings of bulls and goats, etc. now. They are abominations to Him. Read what eventually happened to Balaam.

I know many Guyanese Christians are exposed to these trials of their faith. I hope that they are not treating the matter lightly. This may be a reason why many Christians are loosing blessings or are failing to enter into some blessings. Check up on your friendship Guyanese Christians. Devils are not good friends.

You Guyanese Christians owe it to your Muslim neighbours to draw the line clearly so that they also may receive the truth and escape friendship with devils.

Christians everywhere need to be on guard to please God rather than their Muslim neighbours in this matter. Do not be overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Do the good and God will be with you and bless you. Lost blessings may be restored to you. You may also enter into new blessings, even the winning of the souls of your Muslim neighbours.

Guyanese Christians should not fear to let their Guyanese Muslim neighbours and friends know about this demand of God. They should do so before their Guyanese Muslim friends and Guyanese Muslim neighbours prepare to do sacrifice. They will spare the Guyanese Muslims from approaching them with their sinful offerings. Remember that the Muslims are not afraid to reject pork if their neighbours offer it to them. If they are bold to do so, and they are doing so for someone other than the true God, how much more bolder should Christians be and refuse to eat foods offered to a strange god.

May the Lord grant Guyanese Christians, and Christians everywhere, courage to refuse foods offered to idols or devils.

Let the Holy Spirit and the word of God be your guide and keep you from all evil.

You are an overcomer if you have repented and received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. You have overcome the wicked one. You have overcome the world ( the lust, etc. of the world.) You have passed from death to life.

You have these and many more wonderful reasons to shout praises to God, your Saviour. Shout, leap for joy, because your name is written in the Lamb's book of  life.

Some think because the Apostles did not clap hands when they worshiped God that we should not do so too. Where is the wisdom of greater joy?

They do not want you to laugh in church in praises to the Lord. Where is the wisdom of greater joy?

You must be crazy to try dancing in church. Please do your dancing at home. I don't mean fleshly dancing. There is Holy Spirit led dancing you know. King David danced. The Holy Spirit will lead to greater joy, even bursts of joy and sustained greater joy, if you will not quench Him by your traditions. No dancing before the Lord, the King of Kings? Where is the wisdom of greater joy?

I will tell you where the wisdom of greater joy went. In went to something called "order in the church". Now don't get me wrong. There is a time and  a place for order when certain other things need the kind of order that shouting, clapping and dancing order does not permit. Holy Spirit led clapping, shouting and leaping, and dancing is not out of order.

Restore the greater joy. You can overcome the SAD U SEES. Get to a church where the SAD U SEES have not removed the greater joy.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Your God has done excellent things for you.

Can't find such a church? Keep giving the Lord the offerings of joy in your house. Don't you know you are responsible for your own offerings to God? Since you know that, why are you looking for the approval of the SAD U SEES to serve God?

No! No! No! You are wrong! You are an overcomer. Clap! Clap! Clap!

SHOUT! SHOUT! SHOUT!

And DANCE!  DANCE!  DANCE!

Don't forget to lift up your hands. You are free. Use those hands. Give your Papa a wave offering. Love Him with your emotions too. Who told you that love is without emotions? Where is the wisdom of greater joy?
